I recently had the opportunity to work for a really sweet client! Her cabinets were in desperate need of an update and had been painted by the previous owner over 15 years ago!
We began our project like every other one. Remove doors and begin to sand and clean. I normally do not paint Insides of cabinets because there is so much that goes in and out that its really better just to use shelf liner. However, these insides had ALREADY been painted so we couldn’t just leave them.
See the picture below, I think they turned out pretty good, with A LOT of sanding!

Also, I should mention how much I love BIN shellac based primer. It just smooths everything out and feels like butter when sanded.
With phase one of painting the cabinets completed, off we went with the doors to work on in our shop. These gems required a little more work than normal and most needed to be stripped of the old paint. Talk about a dirty job! It was all worth it though, to see how they turned out. I think my very favorite look is white cabinets with contrasting dark hardware. (Amazon is a great place to get hardware! )
Check out our final pictures And see the before photo!
