If you are thinking of having your cabinets professionally painted, you should definitely ask the following questions. Not all cabinet painters have the same process and you want to make sure your new paint job will last! Below you'll find my answers to some very important questions!
Do you spray your doors or brush and roll them?
Our doors and drawer fronts are sprayed and we brush and roll the cabinet faces. We use professional quality, industrial type cabinet paint that is self leveling leaving no brush or rolling marks. Doors are taken off site to be prepped and sprayed. We can also provide a sample door prior to the start of your project.
2. Do I need to empty my cabinets and drawers?
Sometimes drawer fronts are not removeable so those drawers will need to be emptied. Cabinets do not need to be completely emptied however, we do sand the cabinet fronts so many customers do opt for emptying them out.
3. Do you warranty the paint?
We offer 1 year free touch ups for normal conditions.
4. What is your cleaning and prepping process?
We clean all cabinets, doors and drawer fronts with a degreaser, and denatured alcohol. We then lightly sand and vacuum everything. The cleaning process is one of the most important parts of the process. We want to make sure the paint has a solid foundation!
5. Do you prime?
We absolutely prime everything! We use professional quality primer. Our choice of primer may change from job to job depending on the color of paint you choose.
6. Do you use an industrial quality paint?
We use an industrial quality paint imported from Italy. We order in Milesi paint that is scratch resistant, and cleans very well.
7. Can I choose my sheen?
You are free to choose different sheens, but in our years of experience, we think Satin sheen is the best for cabinets.
8. Are you insured?
Yes! We are insured for damage that may occur on your property.
9. What is your specialty?
We specialize in cabinet painting and have been painting cabinets for over 8 years. Over the years our process has changed a bit as new products have come on the market. Cabinet painting is very different from house painting and wall painting. We have spent hours learning and educating ourselves and believe in our process.
