One of the top questions I get about painted cabinets is what they will look and feel like when finished. Honestly.....they feel like butter! I'm sure you have heard that spraying cabinets will give you that factory finish and its true! Our doors get sprayed in our paint room and we do all we can to mimic that factory situation. Each set of doors is different though and some are more challenging than others. If you are thinking of having your doors painted its important to be realistic with your expectations. The smoothest finish will be on wood that does not have a grain like maple. The majority of our doors though are golden oak with a heavy grain. Without doing several extra steps of actually filling that grain, most oak doors will still end up with somewhat of a grain when finished. The products we use, and our process of priming, sanding and painting, minimizes that grain though giving that smooth finish!
Cabinet faces and frames are not sprayed, but are rolled instead. Here again, though, we do our best to give you that smooth finish with no marks. With the self leveling products we use, you can hardly tell the difference in the doors and the cabinet faces. Also, doors cover the majority of your cabinets anyway!
How long will the paint finish last?
This is another question we get asked often. Naturally, if you are spending money on a professional, you want the job to last. We guarantee our job for one year. We will stand behind any peeling, flaking, or bubbling because that definitely would be a problem either with the paint or prep. Chips can happen for various reasons and I always leave touch up paint. The thing to remember is this is paint and it needs to be properly cared for. Be sure to use knobs and pulls. Wipe up any splashes or spills. Don't subject your cabinets to extreme heat and don't use harsh cleaners. I strongly believe our painted cabinets will last just as long as factory finish if they are cared for properly!

Convenience: You will have access to your kitchen the entire time. The first day we normally come in and remove doors, paper your floor and protect all your appliances and countertops. This first day we also try to prep, prime and paint your cabinet faces. Once in a while we need to finish on day 2, so you may have limited access for 2 days at the most. After this, we spend the rest of the time with your doors in our shop until we return.
Timeliness: Most of the time you will be up and running in your new kitchen in about 10 days!
