OUR PROCESS

Paint options

At Rall Restoration, we believe in using the best quality paint for your job.  We have researched and tested many of the top brands.  We currently use an Italian imported tinted polyurethane.  This  industrial quality paint is scratch resistant, easy to clean and can be tinted to any Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams color. We fully trust our process and are sure you will have many years of beautiful cabinets!

FINISH OPTIONS

When you are deciding on paint, you have two options.  You can go with just paint, or paint with glaze.  Each option has its own benefits.  Paint will give you a clean classic look that will never go out of style.  Its also fun to do a two tone tuxedo kitchen with contrasting paint on the uppers and lowers.
To bring out details of your doors or cabinetry we can also apply a powder glaze, normally dark brown or dark gray followed by a clear coat adding even more protection.

CABINET CARE

Now that your cabinets are finished and reinstalled its important to care for them properly!

1.  Cleaning products:  Avoid any cleaner containing ammonia or any abrasive powder cleaner.  Instead, use a mild grease cutting dish soap that has been diluted or any other natural cleaner.

2.  Cloths:  Lint free cloths are best.

3. Daily Care:  Immediately clean spills and splatters or waters spots.

4.  Touch ups:  If your paint gets chipped, sand the surface with 220 grit sand paper.  Use a foam brush to apply over the damaged area.  Sand lightly in between coats and wait 4 hours before recoating.  2-3 coats may be required.
